Victorian 9ct Gold Paste Swallow Heart Locket Pendant - Antique Jewelry

Handpicked by our family, this very sweet Victorian heart locket is a truly beautiful piece. Set in 9ct gold to the front and back, with silver settings around the paste stones, it has so much lovely detail and charm. The top of the locket features beautiful scrollwork, adding an extra touch of decoration.

The white and blue paste stones form a swallow in flight and flash beautifully in the light. Swallows were traditionally seen as symbols of good luck and safe travels, and were often gifted to loved ones before a journey as a little wish for a safe return. Such a lovely sentiment to a piece of jewellery.

This locket is in fabulous condition and comes with two photo spacers inside, ready to use. The good sized bail makes it suitable for a variety of chains, so it can be worn and treasured every day.
