Handpicked by our family, this exquisite antique Victorian mourning brooch is crafted in rich 15ct yellow gold and set with a delicate 0.10ct old cushion cut diamond in a classic star setting. Dating to the late 19th century, this authentic piece beautifully captures the sentimental symbolism and refined elegance of Victorian mourning jewellery.
The reverse features a traditional hair locket compartment, once used to hold keepsakes or locks of hair. The original glass cover has been removed by a previous owner, offering a glimpse into its history and personal significance.
The front showcases an elegant three-tiered design with intricate ornate detailing, highlighting the craftsmanship of the era. The brooch is clearly hallmarked “15ct”, adding to its authenticity—particularly desirable, as many antique pieces no longer retain visible hallmarks.

The glass that would have originally been on the brooch has been removed by its previous owner. Some light surface wear, including some general light scratches to the front. The pin is not gold.
